It’s been a stressful day. It happens to everyone. Rather than let it drag you down, complete the important care tasks and have a movie day. These movies will help you laugh away the stress you encountered.
Tom Hanks stars as Josh Baskin, a pre-teen who wishes he could be “big” after he’s denied entry on a carnival ride. He makes the wish with an arcade fortune teller. The next morning, he wakes up and finds he’s now an adult. He’s forced to find a job and rent an apartment while he finds the now missing fortune telling machine.
It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World
Spender Tracy and Mickey Rooney head up an all-star cast. After crashing his car, a recently-released criminal (Jimmy Durante) tells those who try to keep him alive until paramedics arrive that he stashed hundreds of thousands of dollars somewhere in Santa Rosita State Park. Whoever finds it first gets the cash. What they don’t know is that a Santa Rosita detective is also looking for the cash so that he can finally solve the robbery.
Shaun of the Dead
You and your parents probably should like zombie movies to appreciate this one. This zombie movie takes place in England and has best friends (Simon Pegg and Nick Frost) waking up to find their town is filled with zombies. They work together to save their friends and family. The pub scene choreographed to Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” is a riot.
Some Like It Hot
Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon, and Tony Curtis starred in this story about musicians who work in a gangster’s speakeasy. When police raid it, they escape but witness a murder in the process. They have to disappear and start new lives far away from Chicago. The best way out of town is to dress as women and pose as members of an all-female band that’s going on tour.
Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo starred in this hilarious cross-country drive to a theme park for their dream family vacation. Getting there isn’t as easy as they planned.
Don’t let the pressures of family care build up. It’s helpful to arrange part-time elderly care services. A caregiver can help your parents while you take care of work responsibilities or run an errand. Elderly care can also ensure there’s time for you to go out with friends and family members. You’ll find the services benefit your entire family.
